Jessica Li
Speech Pathologist
Jess joined the Speech Results team in 2021. She is a dedicated Paediatric Speech Pathologist with over 12 years clinical experience. Her prior working experience includes mainstream primary and secondary school settings, both in Australia and the United Kingdom. She has worked with children who have a wide range of speech, language and communication difficulties. She has particular interest and experience in Articulation and Phonological disorders, Developmental Language Disorders (DLD) and Literacy difficulties (including dyslexia) in school-aged children. She is trained to deliver the Lidcombe Program for children who stutter. Jess embraces a neurodiversity affirming approach to intervention for neurodivergent children, and endeavours to respect and celebrate their individual strengths and identities.
Jess values ongoing Professional Development. She is a member of Speech Pathology Australia and a Certified Practising Speech Pathologist.
When not at work, Jess leads a busy life as a mum to three young boys. Jess has always been a strong believer in working closely with families to set relevant and meaningful goals that fit into the context of the child’s everyday routines and life. A key focus is working with parents to empower them to continue practice at home so that the child achieves their goals efficiently and in a way that generalises to all aspects of their life. Jess is valued for her gentle approach but also brings enthusiasm, warmth and fun to each session.
