Stephanie has over 35 years' experience as a Paediatric Speech Pathologist. Her early working experience included Hospitals, Community Health services and Early Intervention. She worked in the United Kingdom for several years and gained invaluable experience in a Language Unit with school aged children with severe language and learning disorders. Stephanie established the Speech Results practice in 1997.
Stephanie is a dedicated Speech Pathologist who enjoys working with families in the long term. She works with a wide range of children with communication, speech and language difficulties. Her particular areas of interest and experience are Developmental Language Disorders, Stuttering, Literacy difficulties (including dyslexia) in Primary school-aged children, and Articulation and Phonological disorders. While working directly with the child, Stephanie’s focus is always on parent education and involving parents in the therapy process, to ensure the best outcomes.
Stephanie has successfully treated many children who stutter using the Lidcombe programme, but has also been trained to deliver the Camperdown Program, a stuttering treatment program for adults and adolescents.
She works closely with local orthodontists to treat children and adolescents with lisps and tongue thrust swallow patterns.
In addition to managing her own caseload, Stephanie supports and mentors other Speech Pathologists in the practice.
Stephanie is committed to providing quality services and using evidence based practices. She is a Member of Speech Pathology Australia and a Certified Practising Speech Pathologist.
